It was a long weekend so we decided to take advantage of it. We decided to go upstate in the mountains. I actually saw this place first on instagram; instagram #ads does work people! (haha) well, actually now that i think of it, I don't think it was really an ad, i think they were featured by someone I follow, something like that. Anyway, so we did our research and decided to give this place a try. We got there friday night and left monday morning. It was a nice and quiet new year. I would say, and I'm sure Ephy would agree that it was totally worth it.
SoHo , New York City
SoHo, an area South of Houston street, is our favorie place to walk around and take photos. There's almost always a lot of people walking around, a mix of locals who live in the neighborhood, New Yorkers, and tourists from all over the world who come to shop.
Its a great place to shoot for many reasons. I love all the interesting buildings that have charming architecture and a variety of colors. Also, there are so many nooks and cranny' that you can find to set up shop to shoot... or just to people watch. And don't forget the cobble stone streets!
Here are some of my favorite shots we took in SoHo...
Yesterday, February 27 2016, We decided to go on a spontaneous road trip to Montauk. When we got there, its was like a ghost town (haha), I guess most places were closed for the season.
We ended up eating at SaltBox, one of the few restaurant that was open and we are sure glad we ended up there because the food was Y-U-M! We had the Lobster Roll, the Clam Chowder and the Garlic truffle fries (my favorite of the three).
We cruised around, went to the empty Ditch Plains Beach and the Montauk lighthouse (of course!).
Really fun day...cold but FUN!
Spontaneous road trips are awesome, isn't it? Until our next road trip!!
