We caught an early morning train (~2.5 hour duration) out of Florence to Manarola, one of the five famous fishing towns commonly known as Cinque Terre. Because we only had a day, we decided to explore one of the 5 fishing towns, but we noticed some tourists hopping from town to town as they are relatively close together.
The views were spectacular! !There are some great vantage points that are easily accessible from the center of the village. We got some great drone footage and arial shots of the colorful town and blue water. If only we could have joined all the locals who were swimming and sunbathing on the rock faces.
And last but not least, the food...... I will probably never have a better Seafood Spaghetti as good as what we had in a little restaurant here in Manarola. The calamari and the shrimp and baby squids were so fresh and the white wine sauce was a perfect compliment.
If you go to Italy... you must visit the wonderful fishing towns of Cinque Terre.
